K-LIVE Festival 2024: sea, art & sound

The 17th edition of K-Live takes place from May 29 to June 2, on the walls of Sète and up to the Théâtre de la Mer.

Thau Festival preamble

The Festival de Thau takes up residence in cultural and heritage sites across the region.
Experience concerts among the thousand-year-old remains of Villa Loupian, in the shade of fragrant Mediterranean trees in Balaruc’s Jardin Antique, or at the Conservatoire de Sète… On the program for this preamble to the festival, which kicks off in July:
  • AMUNI – Wednesday, June 12 at 8:00 pm.

The Festival de Thau is a unique project that combines a program of contemporary world music with initiatives to raise awareness of sustainable development (eco-dialogues, a village of encounters and a responsible management system).

Festival Nord Sud ( 4th edition )

The Sétoise association L.A.A Les Amis de l’Afrique ! is organizing the 4th edition of the Festival Nord Sud from June 19 to 22, 2024 in the patio of the François-Mitterrand media library in Sète on the theme “For, with, by youth”. The Festival Nord Sud is : – A partnership with educational establishments in Sète (300 students).
– An exhibition of students’ works and a competition with several prizes awarded by a multidisciplinary jury.
– An African village with a music stage featuring several free concerts each evening, creative workshops, African craft stands, a fashion show, world cuisine… – Numerous free intergenerational workshops for children and parents alike.
Film and documentary screenings, followed by debates.
– Presentation of the book “Ma ken mouchkil” by Marie-Ysé and Makan T.

Festival Quand Je Pense à Fernande

From June 23 onwards, Fernande will be performing between the Môle and the Anau cove, in the unflappable and impetuous Théâtre de la mer! The festival will transform the Corniche into a musical paradise: a summer meeting point for lovers of French chanson.

Once again this year, the festival will pay tribute to Georges Brassens, with a program dedicated to celebrating the richness, diversity and creativity of chanson nuggets. On June 23, MC★Solaar will lead the way with his old-school hip-hop and inimitable flow.
Véronique Sanson will follow on June 24, an evening full of promise and poetry that will leave a delicate fragrance in the air.
The following day, June 25, the skies will light up with Zaho de Sagazan, THE discovery of 2023, flooding the airwaves with her husky voice and intimately powerful lyrics.
On June 26, come and meet Pomme, a sensitive, dreamy artist who has opened the way to poetry and introspection for her entire generation.
Eddy de Pretto will close this 22nd edition of the festival, with his heart open and his arms raised to the sky.

SUNSETE Festival ( 8th edition )

For its 8th edition, the SUNSÈTE FESTIVAL FILMS-SÈRIES-CLIPS, Sète’s multi-format 7th art event, confirms its commitment to emerging creation and begins a collaboration with the FEAT. concept. FEAT, Fédération Éclectique d’Arts Transmédia, is the new concept developed by thecinéma sur la plage association.
It consists of a series of cinematic events designed to bring transmedia talents together with the general public.
In the form of a collection ofpopular and educational events, this scheme is committed to enhancing the creative appeal of territories through screenings of emerging audiovisual narratives.

will culminate in an exclusive date at Sète’s Théâtre de la mer on August 21, 2024.
